Dear Foster clan,
You have always treated us as though we were a part of your family.
It was not surprising to get the news yesterday of Dr. Bob’s home-going, but sad nonetheless. We were so grateful to the Lord that they were able to spend these days in Angola with family and those many friends who loved them intensely.
We wish that we could join the celebration in Lubango this Thursday.

Even though we met Stephen, Sheila and Sharon at Cedar Campus the summer of 1970 (which is also when LeAnne and I met each other), our relationship with you as a family really began as Dr. Bob and we both spoke at a missions conference at LeAnne’s church in Indianapolis in the fall of 1982 – out of which we felt a strong call of the Lord to join AEF and the new team being put together for Mozambique.
Our lives and ministries were changed because of his belief in us, his leadership over us and his compassion for us.
God’s richest blessings on you all,
