He was a hard man to turn down

Dear Stephen and Peggy,

I want to add my name to the many people who are saluting Dr Robert Foster at this time.

Although my exposure to him was very short ...two weeks at Campus in the Woods way back in the sixties, I am still able to remember the period vividly. It was probably the only time in my life that I have ever sung a solo as in his booming baritone he cajoled me into singing a verse of a hymn that he was leading. He was a hard man to turn down.

His career achievements are really quite staggering.

My thoughts are with you and your entire family.

Sincerely,

Peter Kopplin
