We rejoice in great memories of his life

Dear Foster family,
It was truly a bitter sweet message that arrived at Westover on Sunday morning January 8th, 2012.
Bitter in that we will no longer have Dr. Bob as a mentor, friend and example of one who knew what God had called him to be a part of. He led by example, and much of his heart and passion will be evidenced for years to come through his family and the Angolan brothers and sisters whom he ministered to in both physical and spiritual ways. We have said good bye to a giant of the faith.
But it is also sweet, in that we know he is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and  he is no longer bound by the physical body that was struggling to continue. We also rejoice in the great memories of his life, and they will encourage many to continue following Jesus for years to come.
Matthew 25:21 reminds me of what the conversation must have been like when Dr. Bob entered into the presence of Jesus. "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!"
We love you all, and will continue praying for all the Foster family, and the Angolan brothers and sisters as you say farewell to a true giant of the faith.
Yours together in his love.
Lynn Everswick on behalf of the Global team at Westover Church, Greensboro, NC
