Dr. Bob Foster was a regular speaker at Park St. Church in Boston while I was in medical school there. His message and vision for Africa was one that captured my attention.
After surgical training, my wife and I became two of Bob's eager recruits, joined AEF, and served at Mukinge Hospital in Zambia for 32 years.
Bob was always an encouragement. He represented the gold standard of medical missions in the last half of the 20th century.
With profound gratitude for knowing Bob as a colleague, a man of God, and a missionary statesman,
Bob Wenninger
M.D.
